
Navy Ships in Seattle for Seafair Fleet Week
The 2010 Fleet Week ships, including four U.S. Navy and three Canadian vessels, will arrive in Seattle next week. Visiting U.S. Navy ships; USS Boxer (LHD 4), USS Port Royal (CG 73), USS Kidd (DDG100), and USS Chief (MCM 14); will arrive Tuesday afternoon. Canadian ships, including HMCS Nanaimo (NCSM 702), HMCS Edmonton (NCSM 703), and HMCS Brandon (NCSM 710) arrive Wednesday. The fleet will dock at Seattle Terminals 25, 46, and 66, starting with the Parade of Ships on Wednesday and opening for public tours on Thursday. Public Ship Tours The public is also welcome to tour the ships Thursday through Saturday at 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. at the following piers: Parking: Free parking is available at Terminal 25 and is accessible by entering at the intersection of S. Hanford Street and E. Marginal Way S. Security: Visitors will be required to present a government-issued photo ID and pass through an airport-style security screening checkpoint prior to boarding the ships. All visitors will be subject to search prior to entering the secured area. Visitors should be advised to carry as few items as possible and wear flat-heeled, closed-toe shoes. Parade of Ships
The public is invited to watch the Parade of Ships cruising through Elliot Bay on Wednesday from 1:30 - 2 p.m. Over 800 guests, including public participants, Sea Cadets, and other youth groups, will be riding aboard the ships as they circle in front of Bell Tower.

. Large baggage, including backpacks, and diaper bags (small camera bags and handbags may be permitted, but will be subject to search)
