Seafair is proud to the partner with Western Washington
Hyundai as the “Official Vehicle” of the 2010 Seafair Celebration. As the
official vehicle, Hyundai vehicles will lead the Alaska Airlines Torchlight
Parade and Michelob ULTRA Torchlight Run, July 31.
“Our
group of 13 dealers are truly excited to come together to participate in the
2010 Seafair” said Jim Walen, president of the Western Washington Hyundai
Dealers Association. “Every year for the past half century, Seafair has been
THE most talked about event in this community and now that we’re just a few
days away we can’t wait to join in Seattle’s Summer Celebration.”
The
Hyundai pace car will be leading the fun as nearly 300,000 people gather to
watch the Michelob Ultra Torchlight Run Saturday, July 31 at 6:30 p.m. in
downtown Seattle and the Alaska Airlines Torchlight Parade which follows at
7:30 p.m. You’ll also find Hyundai
vehicles prominently displayed at the Albert Lee Cup and Boeing Air Show August
6-8.
“Being
a partner with an event like Seafair fits right in line with the
community-based, local-first vision we want to invest in,” said Jim Walen.
“Hyundai is a proud partner of the Hope on Wheels Program - an ongoing campaign
against childhood cancer. Since 1998, Hyundai Hope on Wheels has donated more
than $14 Million to regional children’s hospitals to help kids fight cancer.”
“This
is an exciting event that will bring together people from all over Washington
State,” Walen added. “This is also
an exciting time for us as Hyundai dealers. We were recently named by the Environmental Protection
Agency as the Most Fuel Efficient Carmaker in America. Hyundai is now proud to feature 7
models in our lineup that get 30 miles per gallon or more. We’ll have many of our award-winning
vehicles on display during the various Seafair events.”
