Swim Course Notice
It is very important that all athletes who choose to compete in an Olympic or sprint distance triathlon are capable of swimming at least half a mile in open water. If you do not have experience swimming in open water, it is highly recommended that you do so prior to the race.
Due to environmental concerns, the milfoil in Andrews Bay may not be cut prior to the race. Although the milfoil will be pushed back as athletes enter the water, please expect to possibly encounter some milfoil throughout your swim.
Race Transfer Policy
For insurance purposes the Seafair Triathlon has a NO RACE TRANSFER policy in place. If you choose not to race this year, you may not give your race number to another athlete, however you may defer your registration to the following year.
Deferral is on a case by case basis. Please contact Sarah Shaw via email to make a request: firstname.lastname@example.org.
The transition area will be open and supervised starting at 5:15 a.m. on Sunday, July 20th. For the safety of all participants, only registered participants will be allowed in the transition area. Participants may leave their personal belongings in this secure area. Please rack your bike on your designated bike rack, which is determined by your race number. Athletes can only rack their bikes the morning of the race, no day before bike racking will be allowed. Speedy Reedy and Gerk's Cycle will be available for any bike repair. All participants can enter the transition zone starting at 5:15 a.m., and may enter the area after the first wave of swimmers has started at 6:30 a.m. via the Transition Zone Participant Entrance. All bikes must be racked 30 minutes prior to your wave start.
Parking is not permitted at Seward Park, however participants may park in the surrounding neighborhood. Please be respectful of the residents who share their neighborhood with us and abide by all parking restrictions, keeping noise to a minimum.
AA Sports is the official timing company of the Seafair Triathlon.
